About
The journey of Haven Care Center originally began in 1991 under the name of Crisis Pregnancy C.A.R.E. Center. It was known as the Mercer-Boyle County Crisis Pregnancy Center and was located in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Many years later, it was renamed the Pregnancy Resource Center of Central Kentucky, where they planned to show women that they were not alone during an unplanned pregnancy. In 2001 the second crisis center opened in Danville Kentucky, known as Haven Care Center. For 14 years, Haven was located in a small suite on the main street. As our client’s needs grew, we grew as well, leading us to our new location in central Danville. We opened our “forever” doors early 2019, this significantly expanded our space and has allowed us to grow even more. Over the years, we have evolved and changed, but our mission has stayed the same: a ” safe haven” for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. We are open to all, but our primary counties are Mercer, Boyle, Lincoln, and Garrard.
Executive Director: Tiffany Johnson
Tiffany is just a country girl born and raised in Lincoln County. Her immediate family faced two unplanned pregnancies more than seven years ago which planted the seed of the “desire to help” families in crisis. She is married to Rod Johnson and blessed with a daughter-Savannah and son-Brady, along with one bonus son- Conner. Her grandchildren warm her soul. At the age of 40, Tiffany earned a degree in Psychology & Counseling, which led her to Haven Care Center in 2014. Tiffany’s past journey interning at Ephraim McDowell, teaching GED classes, promoting post-secondary education, caregiving for young children and working at Lincoln County High School cultivated her passion to serve others. Her hobbies including chasing waterfalls, playing wallyball, bargain hunting, girlfriend getaways, and she loves the beach.
Assistant Director: Chrissy Ferguson
Chrissy has been highly involved with Haven since 2015. Chrissy has been married to John for nine years and has four “bonus” children and one child by birth. In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, and having family time with her five grandchildren.
Executive Assistant: Alex Payton
Alex has been involved with Haven Care Center since 2015. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and knowledge in media and IT. She is married and has two young children. Alex is very passionate about helping individuals and families through all stages of life. She enjoys making connections with other moms and providing support to help them through the beginning of their parenting journey.

Volunteers are the heart of Haven Care Center. We are blessed to have a fantastic group of volunteers with various skills helping support our center.
